Public Safety

fire2Public Safety, paging and 2-way communications using all analog and digital technologies are supported with our Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS). Our DAS designs for indoor applications are transparent to the service technology and are inherently wideband to support multi-band operation. Whether they are fixed channel systems or trunked systems, including simulcast systems, out DAS designs will support the communications needs. Frequency bands supported are 700PS, 800PS, 900PS, and UHF. We also support the new public safety broadband services.

One of the critical aspects of public safety and 2-way service extension through DAS is the specific selection of just those channels assigned to the desired service. We will select and utilize a repeater that is broadband or channel selective, as the overall system dictates. This engineering aspect is important not only to proper system operation, but to comply with FCC licensing requirements and restrictions.

We also perform detailed site surveys prior to any implementation to police-1determine if there are other strong in-band signals present that may compete with the desired signals for DAS power capacity. If this is the case, then filtering either internal or external to the repeater will we designed to insure suppression of unwanted other signals.

There are technical aspects of the newer Public Safety digital technologies that have to be correctly considered in the design of the Distributed Antenna System, such as peak-to-average power ratios, design for FCC emissions limits, specific system power control characteristics, and specific system time delay limits. This is all properly implemented in our In building DAS designs.
